Hi there, first ever post: Need Help!

My jukebox has been working great until last night.
I loaded it up, turned it on, chose A2 and it wouldn't play it. It picked it up, but it wasn't rotating or playing it.
Every 20 seconds it would make a static sound, then stop.
I then pulled out/slid out the record rack and motor and found the record holder mechanism. I pulled it open and took out the 45. It was cracked, but had not broken apart.
I then called someone and they told me to change the fuse. I changed the fuse in the front left but the old one has a coil inside and the new one from RadioShack didn't. Still no movement on the motor.
I have tried the "reject" switch over and over. It buzzes, but then does nothing. Before it would reject the record then scan for a new ne.
I am really bummed out and need help. Anything!!!!

Sounds to me that we have a case of the "blind leading the blind" here--
The "curly" fuse on the front of your mechanism, has absolutely nothing to do with the motor !
As for fuses, internal construction may vary, from maker to maker, and also from time to time. Fuses MUST be replaced with ONLY the exact same type and size, in order to continue protection. That fuse should be a .5 A slow blowing type, and it is used to protect the popularity and selection now playing lamp circuit on your model phonograph.
You should not have "pulled out" the record--hopefully in doing so, you did not overstretch the clamp arm spring--as once "stretched" they will never again function correctly.
If you have electro/mechanical skills,I strongly suggest you purchase, and read the service manual for your phono, prior to doing any more to it. I also, humbly suggest that my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" would be helpful also. If do not have those skills, I would suggest that you need to hire a "pro", who is familiar
with that model Seeburg. (lists of where to purchase, and repair people are located above this post) Ron Rich

Thanks for the quick reply.
The fuse I checked didn't look blown, so I did put it back. I made sure the new fuse had the same specs and was a slow-blow, but like I said, put the original back in.
The guy I found was on Angie'sList.com, and I was appreciative of his advice and was happy to try a cheap fix.
I do agree that taking the record out was probably a dumb idea, but it did spring right back in, so I hope it's ok.
I just purchased the manual on eBay last night and hope to get it soon. I will look into your "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" as I will try anything to get this fixed.
I can't say I am mechanically or electronically inclined, but I am smart, and patient, and will give it my best. The more advice I get the better chance I have of fixing this.

IMHO, you have most likely wasted you money on an eBay copy of the manual--You need the "Whole package" in order to understand what you are doing-- I would advise you to read above both the "Atten Newbies"section, and the "where to find"--posts.
