seeburg STD3 problem

Just picked up a seeburg STD3 with a record that was hung up in the record slot. I finally got it un stuck from the mechanism. Now when I press a number to play a record it will travel up and down the rail. It will do this 2 complete times and then stop. Almost like it is out of sync. I was hoping some one on here can tell me how to get it back to recognizing where it should go and stop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

The record being "hung up" has nothing to do with the process of selection--unless you took the record rack, or the TMU off to "un-hang" the record.
I would suggest that you get the Service Manual ( which is in several sections for that model, so buy the "whole package") and "adjust" the rack/TMU as per spec.--if they have been moved. If that's not the problem, I humbly suggest that you purchase a copy of my "Seeburg Microlog Trouble Shooting Guide" which should help you to pinpoint the problem.
If you wish, you may contact me directly, off list, at ronnnrich@yahoo.com If you are not familiar with how the Seeburg Mechanism operates, I further suggest my "Seeburg Mechanism Guide" and if you wish to "go deeply" into the "Microlog system",(the late)Tony Miller's "Black and Gray Box book" Ron Rich

Well as you can tell I am a "newbie" on the juke box. I usually fix stand up arcade machines. So I have a question. What is the TMU? is that the rack of all those numbered dials at the bottom of the rack where the records go? Cause I noticed that all but 3 are set at 0-5 the rest are on 10
