Hello
I have a rockola 433, but not very often used in the last few years. Today I want to make a test run and everything works fine until the gripper has to grip the record. He does absolutly nothing. So my rockola stands now on my selection "C8", the turntable is turning and I can nothing else do then switch off and power on, but nothing changes. What can I do?

Chris,
What you do depends--Do you have the Service Manual---do you have the skills needed to do work on that equipment ?
If so, you read the "sequence of operation" in the service manual, along with the schematics, and determine where/what has failed. If not, post your location, and MAYBE someone that offers pro help is in your area-- Ron Rich

Hi Ron
I have the Service Manual, but don't understand :(
I've read something that it could be a lubrication (oil) problem, I think I can handle this by myself. But if the motor of the gripper don't work, I need a pro. Do you know how I can find out if the motor is okay?
Kind Regards, Chris

Hi Chris,
Do you have a meter ? If so, check to see if it's getting (24vdc) power. If not, check the 1.6 amp slo blo "mechanism" fuse (or circuit breaker). If blown replace (or re-set) it ONCE, only ! If it blows again, you have a bad (probably just dirty) motor. Ron Rich
