How much could worth a Glenn Miller HMV 78 record No. I.P. 923, printed in Ireland? One side is "A string of Pearls" the other one "Blue Rain". On the "Blue Rain" side the name Glenn MIller is wrongly written "GLYNN Miller". Anyone knows?

Not much unfortunately. Mega thousands of copies sold of this record around the world, and where they were pressed doesn't usually have much bearing on the value. Most records of this era are only worth a dollar or two. I've got both the British & Australian pressings of this disc, but I guess if I found an Irish pressing in "perfect" condition, I might be tempted to pay $3-$5 for it, but mainly because I don't have any irish HMV records.

Thanks a lot, if you're interested in Irish 78 let me know I might help.

That was a popular record. I have an American copy on RCA victor. I also have the same recordings on a CD.

Unfortunately, Glenn Miller and the other swing bands were released on the substandard war-rationing records made from substitute materials.

That's funny. Glynn.

I've got a Japanese HMV recording of My Prayer by Glenn Miller, but the label says My Player. Really.

Reminds me of the Taiwanese pirate pressing I saw of The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonrey Hearps Club Band"....
