rockola 468 not resetting

by Guest » Sun Jan 11, 2009 4:37 pm

hi just found this site via google

today i bought a rockola 468 grand saloon. had it going well but all of a sudden it doesnt want to reset after playing one record. it runs to the end and just keeps spinning

hit the switch to scan and usually that makes it go back previously. when i make a new selection it chooses the song on the large disc to the right of the lp player but that is as far as it goes

when the stylus arm gets to the end i can hear a switch clicking

any ideas. im new to jukeboxes so dont want to stuff anything

Sounds like the end-of-record "cancel" function did not happen. Either the cancel switch on the tone arm is out of adjustment/broken or you may have a tripped circuit breaker or blow fuse somewhere.

Some of the fuses are hidden inside some of the control boxes/units so be sure to look in your service manual for the locations of the fuses. If you don't have manual, I'd strongly advise you to buy one. Jukeboxes are complicated mechanical and electrical devices so you should not simply play with/adjust things willy-nilly.

Manuals are available to purchase from http://www.victoryglass.com and they also purchased the entire 45rpm jukebox parts inventory from Rock-ola several years ago.
