But you missed the point that it comes with the stepper, and it's all working--
The one's I "love", are the ones that state "All Original Parts"--most of the time I can pick-out 3 or more cosmetic, "replacement parts"--let alone mechanical parts, and stuff like lamps, needles, which if "original", on a 60 year old machine, would be shocking --

Well, he does say that the T-T turns.

That reminds my of a Gepetto Op on Tenth Ave. Has was clearing out inventory as his lease was up in a year and he knew The Leech (landlord) would kill his business. He had an AY160 for sale and showed me, how he had "improved" the sound by removing the grill diffuser to "give more treble" -that was the needle chatter. He seemed proud of his accomplishment.

I appreciate the time you took to highlight our site Rob. Obviously I'm not an expert on such things, maybe you would be willing to take the time to explain to us ignorant folk what would make the listing more realistic and less of an "Ebay Hopeful"
Is the price too high in your opinion? What is a realistic price?

I'm not Rob, but, one way to improve it would be to leave the working amp in the jukebox.

Sure. I'll give you a template-form. Remarks in brackets are not to be included in copy.

1951 AMI D40 jukebox. Older restoration. Converted for 45 rpm records. The machine in not working, but nothing appears burned or broken [if true]. There appears to be a minor problem with one color cylinder on one side of the front grille.

No cracks or stains on the grill or glass-plastics. [if true]

No amplifier. The original amp is a model DD. [these turn up on E-Bay regularly]. Other amplifiers that have an input for a ceramic pickup my be substituted.

It would be helpful if you included shots of both the rear inside and mechanism of the machine.

Leave out the line about using it in your shop. It sounds disingenuous if you are offering it for sale.

These are among the least desirable of the 1950s machines The asking price would be more realistic if the machine is working and includes a suitable amp.

Still, would be an interesting challenge to get it running again. I wonder if the mechanism would run after some persuasion, assuming the motor coils and switches haven't melted!!

Given the nature of people to "steal", I'm not surprised by the fact someone is using "stolen material" to support the sale of their phonograph. I even have a thief re-printing (one of, Ive seen,--so far), my "Copy-written" Seeburg Guides. (By the way, if ANYONE knows who is doing this, please contact me so I can take legal action !) I would never purchase a coin operated phonograph from Ebay, unless I saw photos of the whole machine--front, back, and insides ( to verify the parts installed, were correct, and their condition).

Ron,
Wait till you see the "jukebox" that I'm "designing" from scratch.
I'm calling it the 'Concept 60"
It plays 45's, and CDs/MP3 disks, along with having a microphone input for "sing along" stuff.
Has animated lighting too.
Twin SS mono amps, four 10" air-suspension woofers, two tweeters.
I will post photos, once its done - hopefully in a few weeks.

I appreciate everyone's feedback. I'm in the middle of restoring an old train depot that was built in the late 1800's right now...so it might be a while before I can implement everyone's ideas, but I think everyone made some fair points. Does anyone have any suggestions on an appropriate price as it sits? I wanted to have it restored, but I couldn't find anyone in the St Louis area that would work on this particular one. Help in that regard would be appreciated too. Thanks again. Oh...and obviously I didn't pull the original amp, this is the way I got it.
