I've got a HF100R seeburg juke box and I just bought a vintage teardrop speaker. Can anyone help me with the wiring. The Teardrop has just one wire coming out of the back and it is connected to the 4 watt connection screw. (one of 4 screws on the top row) the second row has 2 screws, one with a "C" and one with nothing underneath. There is only one speaker in the teardrop (about an 8 inch) the teardrop has several nubers on the back. it sayes "constant voltage speaker type cvs4-8 ser.9246
the output on the jukebox would be 4 connection screws in a row. There are 2 control knobs. one is watts. Does anyone know the correct knob settings and wire connections?

Thanks

The two bottom terminals on the speaker are your CV line in, which should be connected to "A" and "B" on the MRA4 or 5, amp terminal strip (left hand two terms.). The top four terminals on the speaker are the wattage taps. From L-R, they are: 1/16, 1/4, 1, and 4 watts. The "single wire" sticking out of the speaker connects to one of the taps, depending on how loud you want it to be in relation the main speakers. The speaker wattage knob MUST be turned down, if you connect the "single wire" on the speaker to either the 1, or 4 watt taps. The switch also should be turned down, whenever an external speaker is attached to a phonograph, however, you can "get away" without doing so, if your amp is in good condition, and if you don't turn the volume up full. Seeburg reccomended that you never exceed the rated output ( "highest" position on the speaker switch--I can't remember what it was on that amp-16 or 20). The other "control knob" on the amp is for the AVC, and has no connection to remote speakers. Ron Rich
