No Key - How Open NSM Firebird

I picked up an NSM Firebird today.

The guy I got it from knew nothing about it, no keys, no mounting bracket. Just wanted to get rid of it.

The right hand side lock (on the other side of the hinges) has been drilled out.

How can I open the Juke?

I do not know what model this is, as I cannot get inside.

Anyone know how I can break into my own juke?

If some "dingbat" hadn't drilled out the lock, and no one changed it--NSM's, as all jukeboxes, came with a "service key", which is about the only part still available here, for that model (www.needles4jukeboxes.com). If my great, but not too long memory serves me--there is a "lock bar", connected to the backside of the lock--is there enough of the lock, still there, that you can force something in there and turn ?? There is almost nothing left to the lock. There is a portion of the "skin" of the lock - which I tried turning using a few large flat screwdrivers to form a thick
blade. Didn't do anything.

The lock is really just a shell of itself, a large hole is really all that is left (talking
about Negative Space ?). Nothing is there, so I need a way to grab the latch bar
somehow, but don't have a parts catalog or anything to let me know which side of the lock to grab, and pull..... up, or push down?

If you can drill all the way through the damaged lock, here is how I have solved the problem. After drilling all the way through, you can take a longer thin shaft cheap flat blade screwdriver and make a 90 degree bend about 3" from the tip. If you try to bend a decent screwdriver it will most likely break. I made mine in a vice. After bending the screwdriver, you can fish it through the hole and catch the locking bar and lift it up. The screwdriver tip will act as the old lock cam and the door will open right up. Once inside you can remove the chewed up lock, but finding a new one might not be easy as it is a non-standard size as I recall.

NSM jukeboxes used metric hardware if I recall.

I got it opened, I actually used an allen wrench.
The lever is towards the front of the box, and needs to be pushed up.
This raises the two latches at the top and the bottom!!

It is an ES-IV.

I can see I need some parts - can anyone let me know where I can get
the CD Holders, or anything else you see missing?
(there are some plastic sleeves, but nothing to hold them)

from what i can see from the photos, you are missing the title holders usually about 100 of them, very tedious to put them back in, the cd trays(100 also) and the tray holders (two no.), each holds fifty cd trays and possibly the title holder pcb and motors are missing, if the cd unit is not working you might be better investing in a different machine and keep the existing one for parts or sell the parts
