Item # 221148855368, on eBay is listed as "original". This is far from the truth.
I was asked last time I posted something like this--"why post it"?
The reason is simple--I have seen/heard this way too often--and I really don't like it.
I don't know if this seller knows, or does not know, what the truth is, but I believe anyone considering purchasing it should know prior to making an offer.
Some of the "non-original" things that I spotted--cabinet colors, speaker board cloth,
"PRVC" control head attached to the rear ( leads one to think that the wrong amp is installed, as the original amp does not work with this item) ? Tone arm has been changed to late style (GREAT-- IMHO, if done right !) --"Pricing window" is incorrect (even if the phono is set as shown), and the"mechanism cover" is incorrect for this model.

Articles sold with claims of "original" on web sites are lots of times diddled-with stuff - sellers hoping the unwary will not know the difference.

Not that it's totally wrong, if done properly and with a sense of quality in mind, some things are actually better....
But - should be sold as "modified" or "upgraded". - being honest.

I do mods and upgrades on some customer units - but inform them of the fact, and explain that modern materials, etc, are available now-a-days that just weren't available in the past - making the unit "better than before".

The resulting performance and reliability is worth the effort, and everyone is satisfied.

I have no objections to "upgrades"--especially those mechanical or electrical in nature, if done "right"----but I attempt not to change basic colors of the cosmetics--which are "way off" on this particular jukebox. Ron Rich
