HMV 103 from 1927

ill check those out! ill try them on my columbia first and see if theres a diff or if it has undesirable results. I have an old belt somewhere ill try that first since i dont have velcro lying around. thanks for all the help and support. i went and got some flitz from west marine by my house. It wasnt the paste it was more of a liquid in a black bottle. freakin WOW!!!! in 15 min or less it was shining like brand new! i couldnt believe it! I will def recommend this stuff to anyone!!! eve the columbia in the back looks better! Everthing from the speed control to the tone arm just looks new and shiny! thanks guys for the recommendation ill use this stuff for everything.

When you have a chance, please post some new photos. It should be interesting to compare "before and after."

I just use Silvo on nickel plating, or Brasso if it's fairly corroded. HMV used solid brass with a good thick nickel plating for the type of arm your machine has, so it would be almost impossible to rub through the plating, but some cheap paste polishes can contain abrasives that could scratch the plating. I remember years ago I bought some Amway metal polish that left scratch marks on nickel, but it was great for steel & cast iron lol.

yea ill def post some pics...ive been busy with work so no pics yet haha....i also put a piece of rubber on the brake pad and it works excellent as well! seems my luck is changing haha...i used flitz on my jukebox too and the chrome polished up very well...im excited! ima post pics of all my shellac playing apparatuses soon! i think i have some interesting pieces yall will have fun looking at.
