LOL... so here's my story.

I've had my Edison DD LU-37 for a few months now... but I never really utilized the bottom compartment for record storage. (see picture)



So my DD record collection has grown a little over the months and I say "Hey, i'll put these etched label records down there to save space."

So I try to put the records in and I can't. I shine a light through the slots and something is there blocking it.

So I get my screwdriver out and take out the slots... there are 6 DD's that lying horizontally in back of the slots!

AND... the orginal instruction book AND envelope it came in!


AND... the original packing slip!


How cool is that!!

Surprisingly, I've heard of quite a few people finding those instructions and the envolope, exactly where you found them. I've never been so lucky though. I can't say I've seen the packing slip before.
When I bought my C19, I found 2 records behind the slots, but that was all. There is supposed to be a thin wooden slat that runs behind them which prevents the records from going back so far, and falling into the back. Both the slats were broken at some stage in mine, so they'll have to be replaced oneday. I have to be careful not to push too hard on the records, or I loose them!

It looks like you can see the records through the slots in the photo you posted. You must have been wrapped to find 12 new tunes to play.

Congrats. It's always great to find these little added bonuses. Last year in an old portable I picked up I found a Gennett record cleaner disk in the accessory compartment and sold it on Ebay for $217.00. Boy was I surprised.
