update on AMi H

by H-200 Squeak + Zip » Thu Apr 23, 2015 4:09 pm

Ron Rich came over and fixed 3 things in about an hour, mostly the bent wiper blade on the pulse generator and then adjusting the switch for record rejection. What a guy! I love assisting him, I learn a lot. I tried a selection a few hours later, all the push keys were stuck again but this time I took a pencil and moved the wiper blades CAREFULLY ON A SCREW with the eraser. Voila. Keys unstuck, all was well.
Found a wiper blade for the H at Jukebox Revival for about $10.60 plus shipping but no plastic cover for the p. generator which Ron said are impossible to find anyway. Always a great experience with Ron working on this machine. That was the 3rd time. As he says, it's old, it's still got a lot of original parts, it's cranky. Onward!

Hi Chris,
I would buy that wiper, since they have it available, and you know how to change it ! --the old one apparently does not want to retain tension--been bent too many times!

I ordered two from Jukebox Revival. They come flat, they have to be bent to correct positions so I got two because I might ruin one the first time I try--if I do try.

Hi Chris,
Oh, s---t-----I don't know if the one you have is "correct" ? Something told me that it should not have been bent, as yours is, but since it was "working", I dd not want to "un-bend" it, then re-align it--- It has obviously been "bent" several times ??

Guys--if anyone has a H-I, AMi that can take, and post, a photo of the pulse generator wiper, please do so !!
Thanks, Ron Rich

Ron--Not to worry. The blades are correct. Go here, there's a picture, scroll down, there's a note saying you HAVE to bend the blades yourself. https://www.jukebox-revival.eu/staging/ ... t-m-i.html
