It was one of those nice sunny days here in Wichita Kansas, i had just arrived at the transit center in down town to catch the bus home. But i decided before that, I was going to go scope out the thrift store in that block and the antique mall. As i passed the antique mall, i didn't have the intention to go in, for it was half four in the afternoon they close at five, and i felt like i didn't have the time. i was just going to walk by the big Mid Century window display (which is the best booth in the whole place anyway).....and out of the corner of my eye i caught a glimpse of a faux wood grain handle, i have one seen ONE place before......A HUGE gasp came out of my mouth and i went right in.....it was............................The 1962 cream with brown speaker cloth, Mid range GE Trimline, MINT with the low end VM flip cartridge changer. And ......THE OPTIONAL STAND!!!!!!!!! YES! The optional, handled wheeled stand with record storage!!!! I went on my bank account to check my funds (thank gods for smart phones, and the BOA ap), and bought it!!!!....The lady that owns that booth was there, and she said she took it in to get it serviced, before she added it........so, for a serviced, working, complete, with stand, cream GE Trimine, i paid right at $180.00 for it......im picking it up on Friday with a vehicle, and will post pics then....=)....i am TRILLED, but i also couldnt help but to think to my self, "That was stupid"...lol.....

Nevertheless, I'd still have it checked out.
"Serviced" can mean some college kid squirted WD-40 into it to make it run.

well, here i am to post these pics, but there some good news and some bad news.

The good news is, over all it is in EXCELLENT condition, the case and appreance are wonderful, the amp is still good and the speakers are not blown or sound distorted, and the stand is MINT. No rust or corrosion......

But now the bad news..........I would like to know where the (&^%$ she took this to get it serviced, i personally think that was a right out LIE, and im tempted to call her out on it (i have her business card from her booth). Problem one, the Standard LP 331/3 needle was so worn down it acted like there was no needle in place. Problem two, when the changer cycle changed records, the arm would land so far off the record, that i would end up on the little rubber needle guard. now Complaint number 3, if it was taken any where, the Macedonian Dodo bird who worked on it, did not even clean the out side of the case, or clean out the lint and dust form the bottom under the changer platform.....

but all in iall, its sill super nice, i did readjust it, and make shure everything else was ok. i also cleaned it MY standards....and it came out wonderful......ordered a new needle and that should be here next week.....so here are the pics....=)

Somebody probably misadjusted the setdown so it would correctly land on a 12" record that is already on the turntable. This changer does not play a 12" record that is already on the turntable correctly, because the 12" sensor feels a 12" record while it is dropping down the spindle. A 12" record already on the turntable selects 10" operation because it does not touch the 12" sensor.
