Hi
I need to locate the proper size bulbs that go behind the “Make a Selection” glass and the “Coin entry” glass (Burns # 47 6.3 volt bulbs out in about 3 hours.) and the star logo in the grill.
Could you advise the specs and where I could locate them?
Also what is the trick to getting the bulb out of the star logo?
Thanking you in advance for any help you can provide
Best
Darrell

Hi Darrell,
Some RockOlas used 1819 lamps in the sockets that are the same size as the #47 takes (27 volt lamps)--USE CAUTION, IF YOU DO NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE TRANSISTOR DRIVEN--IF TRANSISTOR DRIVEN, USE OF THE WRONG # CAN RUIN THE DRIVER !
As for the star lamp- my favorite "removal product" WILL work, guaranteed !! Di-no-mite !!

6.3 volt lamps burn out and #1819 lamps are way to dim. I now have #53 14.4 volt bulbs and they are a little dim. The socket shows 12 volts, so I need to find out what bayonet bulb is 12 volts. I see there is a #93 & #94 rated at 12.8 volts but it appears that base is to large to fit the socket.
I just may just use that Di-No-Mite on the star logo

Did not have to use Di-No-Mite

Used force, metal ring was put on while paint on cabinet was wet sealing the ring to the cabinet. I now see a small white light bulb that screws in (think christmas tree light bulb) and all I have to do now is figure out the specs. It would have killed Rockola to have included this in the parts manual
4 Watt 120 volt white night light bulb is an exact match

I don't go by "online" specs from "sales" websites - because of the wide range of guesses these sites post.
I go by the "old school" book - written by bulb/lamp manufacturers.

FYI Here is the offical answer from Rockola:
" We had two style lamps that were located behind the star. One looked like a white golf ball, that is a 7 ½ watt bulb. Then we changed to a candelabra bulb, 4 watt. The lamps behind the selection glass are 1815 , 14V. "
