3400 WurliTzer help--please--

by Ron Rich » Sun Apr 03, 2011 6:14 pm

Hi All,
On a 3400 WurliTzer "Selection Accumulator Plate", there is a zener diode and a cap. The values are NOT listed (or I'm blind) in the Service Manual. Has anyone got an idea as to values here ? This is the area where the "number, and letter patches" are located, and it is in series (fires) with the selection (pin release) magnate. TIA, Ron Rich

Hi Ron,
As far as the zener diode is concerned, try this...
If you can unsolder it and carefully (with a magnifier) check it out, it might clue you in on the value.
How to read it is..... rotate it, noting the markings.... for instance.. 5, then a dot/period, then maybe a 6
That would mean 5.6 volt zener.

As far as wattacge ratings, use a 1 watt at least.....if it's the same size as a standard resistor, go for 2 watts.

The capacitor, if you could post a photo might help me.
Hope this helps -M
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

ron on the 3100 it shows the cap as 18 mfd .75v x2...and the part #for the 2 zenner as 128449...the 3100 might be in a lot of ways like the 3400..jukeman

Jukeman,
Thanks--but two things--read the above posted "answers" before taking the time to research an answer--and-- the 3100 series is totally different from the 3400 series--thanks anyway !! Ron Rich
