1947 Seeburg Trashcan

by jeakle4 » Fri Dec 21, 2012 2:30 am

I am considering the purchase of a 1947 Seeburg Trashcan. This is in non working order and has some cosmetic issues with the plastic side panels. I do not know more than this, I have yet to inspect the box for further issues. I have tried to attached a picture that may give an idea of condition. I don't know if I did it right, does not come up when I view my post, if needed I can email to anyone who wants to see it.

Any information would be welcomed: recommended purchase price, supplier of replacement parts, recommended sites to help with restoration.

This would be the first jukebox I tackle for a restoration, I have restored pop machines and gas pumps in the past, but nothing this complex. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks - Dennis

Dennis,
I would suggest the starting place would be to order the Service Manual and see if you really wish to tackle such a project.
The 47 Seeburg was sold in at least 3 different cabinets, and each of those cabinets, must have had 3 different options inside. Books, parts--both repro, and used are still somewhat available--check announcement above--where to find--
Price ??--depends on condition, condition, and condition--- HTH, Ron Rich
