REPAIRING BITE ON CYLINDER

Hello

One of my cylinders -an edison black wax- has, at its end a bite or little hole which makes the sound to repeat the music a few times, after which the songs follows normally to its end. Its size is about 2 mm diameter.

1- Will that damage the stylus?

2- IS there any way to repair the bite, by filling it with any stuff so the stylus don
