by clones » Wed Feb 01, 2012 11:40 pm

Hi
I have a wurlizer baltic 100 jukebox with a bit of a problem, firstly the selection process is using a number from 1 through to 9 and lastly 0, the next part is a letter a b c d e f g h j and k, when i select a combination of a number and a letter- g through to k the keys will reset, but if i use a combination of a number and the letters from a to f the keys will not reset, anyone any ideas what could be wrong
regards

Hi,

if I understand right all number buttons and letter buttons G - K work correct means the selection is being made. Only letters A - F do not work.

I would check if there is a unit which is for all letters A - F like a plug or so. Maybe a connection or contact is bad.

In the manual I found this description:
Symptom: One key (any one) of the right hand keyboard is dead. Latch solenoid inactivate, selector motor running continously.
Cause: Open line to the appropriate contact field of the selector wiper switch.
Possible fault: switch of dead key is defective; broken line down to selector unit via plug 5 (or 6); cracked p.c. baord of the searcher wiper switch.

If you haven't gotten a service manual I recommend to do so. It describes the functions and adjustments and helps to understand better how the jukebox work.
In the US Victory Glass and Always Jukin offer them. You will need to tell the year as Baltic 100 was at least available in 1977 and 1978.

Kind regards - Hildegard

Thank you for the reply, the selection buttons do work but some of them are not resetting after the selection has been made, which is any combination fron A to E used along with a number, i have a manual but as you say it must be a bad contact,
thank you
