Yep--if you run them for forty years, "un-balanced", and/or, without oiling them,---- that can be a problem --

It looks like a filthy tonearm assembly.
Ugh.
I'd add charges for the scum on it.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

Oh, I don't know, Ron. I've bought stuff that looked like it had been stored in sewage for a few years. A full-strength dose of floor stripper, some work with a brush and -hot- water rinse and you would never know what the mech had been through.

The key problem in that item are the rusted screws on the tonearm and possibly elsewhere. The socket connections are suspect as well.

Back when i was buying, that is the sort of thing you would pay 5-10 dollars for.

Hi Rob,
I have cleaned those cradle assemblies off that were much dirtier that that one--I just thought that the actual "bug" in the photo was phunnie. Ron Rich

This guy is asking £4,750, ( that's $6718) for a jukebox that has six selections that don't play, "but it's probably easy to sort out."
He says he's had it for 20 years with it like that and it hasn't bothered him.
So "maintenance free?"

Dog

In the states if that model was in factory new condition and being sold by a dealer with some type of warranty and service available it would fetch somewhere in the $4,000.00 range. Lets see what it actually sells for?
