How Do I Lube This Part on "G"?

by Doc » Sat Jan 21, 2012 10:09 pm

Hello, fairly new to jukebox repair, but a longtime owner of jukes. Recently I fired up my Seburg G and it is acting up...it will scan, select then needle goes to record and repeats. I'm pretty sure I need to lube this part (see pic red-tipped oil pen pointing at it). Any advise on what kind of lube and exactly where to lube it? I've heard gun oil is superior since it does not gum up...and comments? Thanks in advance!

Doc,
The same way it is "lubed" on all Seeburg 45 rpm mechs.
Do you have a Service Manual ? If so, look at the break-down of that section.
The coil plunger must have a light, to no coat, of graphite grease on it, and the moving "joints" a small amount of SAE 20 wt. ND oil
