Rock-Ola not selecting xx4-7 numbers

Hi, my Rock-Ola 474 doesn't select any records ending with the numbers 4 through 7.

The Write-In Carriage Arm just goes round and round after pressing the third digit.

The manual seems to suggest that the K7-1 relay maybe the culprit, but I have checked/swapped the relay and all seems to be good.

Sometimes, on very rare occasions, it does work, but most often it doesn't.

Would appreciate any ideas for solving this problem.

I was hoping that this would be one of those "common" faults, that everyone knows the answer to and is quick to fix, but having not had any responses I guess not.

If anyone has any ideas at all what could cause this fault and where I should be looking I would be very grateful.

I have seen similar problems--in the keyboard, make sure the contacts are good AND, when held down for the last digit, the button is held far enough down to make good contact. Check all plugs in the selection system--if any are the long, flat, black type, that slide onto a PCB, that's probably your problem, as they are no good--crack at edges, and fail to make good contact.
