Does anyone know how to bypass the on off switch to this console type 3 channel amplifier. It uses 3 pair of 6v6gt tubes. I want to use it but without the preamp that goes with it that connects to it,note the power cord goes to the amplifier first, but without the preamp and Tuner assy it wont power up. I just want to jump 2 connections (that should do it) but what two. or if anyone has a schematic. please share it with me. best wishes in everone elses projects. Jeff

Check and see if the record changer can also power up the set. If so, you can use those connections.

If not, the cable for power was usually a Molex or other nylon connector with just a few pins. The signals should not be on the same connector as the power.

One thing to think about: Where is the DC power supply for the tubes? If it's in the preamp section, you need it.
