Hi, Im a newbie and I apologize in advance for because I know nothing about record players or forums. I have had my grandmothers Motorola SK1BW console record player for years but it has been in storage. I recently pulled it out and plugged it in. The AM/FM side works fine and the turntable is getting power to it and the motor turns but the turntable doesnt. Is there a place that would sell parts? Also I have no clue as to where to buy needles. I have looked online for a manual and have been unable to find anything. Any help you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

That specific model doesn't come up in my service information.
Is it solid state (transistorized), or tubes?
Nevertheless, and being stored for so long, it'll need a good thorough restoration in order to be reliable.
Same goes for the record changer - a total teardown and lubrication, along with the rubber parts being replaced.
Would you expect a car to travel far after decades, and being stored?

These things are ticking time bombs if not brought up to modern safety standards.

It does have tubes. My husband just took it apart and oiled some of the parts and got the turntable working again. Just found a place to order a new cartridge and needle. I used it about 10 years ago and it worked but being shuffled around and stored in a semi humid area took its toll.

A tube type unit such as that should undergo a mandatory restoration.
Particularly if it sat in damp conditions!
It's 50 years old now, and I wouldn't even plug it in!
I've stated this so many times on this and various websites, and it sounds like I'm selling something, indeed. (I am a professional service tech)
But the fact is I'm selling you, and others, important information that ***has*** to be followed - or else these vintage devices will fail without warning.
At that point the costs to repair them have now increased massively.
You either have it professionally restored now, or later, for much more.
