Looking for a lead on a new or working volume pot for my 3200, it has the 548 amp and open back slot for the remote controler. I haven't had any luck tracking one down, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason.

Jason,
Do you have a pot that is defective -or s it missing.
Often defective pots can be restored by washing them. I was them (and most jukebox parts) in diluted floor stripper and rinse in warm water while working the arm contact back and forth. Then make sure to blow it dry.
If only one taper is bad on yours, if all else fails I may be able to help. I have one from that series of amp.that measures in range, however one loudness tap on one section is broken off so you'll have to take the control apart and swap the good section with the defective one on yours.
Again, if you can't find one elsewhere, send me a PM.

Rob,
I went ahead and removed it and will try cleaning it out. Visually it looks fine, no rust nice and clean and rotates smoothly. The main prob it the volume is jumpy as you turn it up, it will get loud and then jump to low, then to high. I will try cleaning it like you said and then let you know how it goes. It appears the only way to take it apart is to bend thw tabs out but not sure how to seperate the two.

That sounds like a typical cleanliness issue. These stacked pot come apart by bending the tabs straight. First is the set closest to the shaft. Once that is removed you'll see similar tabs inside. You do not need to remove the covers to clean the pot.
BTW: how is the amp? Do the channels balance with balance control at midpoint? Is there any 120Hz, and/or heating of the heatsink when the phono is not playing?
This amp is approaching 50 years old and a replacement of capacitors and the pickup is likely due.

Jason,
Those pots can be cleaned with a shot, or two of Deoxit-5, without dis assembly--just squirt it into the "holes" where the tabs stick out--follow the instructions on the can, and it usually corrects that "jumpy" problem ! Ron Rich

I use "Nu-Trol" volume control cleaner spray chemical myself. One quick shot into the cleanout hole on the noisy volume control is all you need.

Awesome, i will clean it out this week.@Rob, only 1 channel on the amp is currently working. I am in the process now of recapping it and we will see whats next after that. I read out all the resistors and they all read true, a few read different from the spec sheet i have but both left and right channels read the same. So, caps first and volume pot and we will see where that leaves me. Mechanically after a month long scrub down and regrease/oil sheworks perfect with exception to 1 number key hanging up the player but think thatsjust electirical. Thanks for the help.
