A guy is wanting to give me an LPC 480 in really nice condition except it is missing the mechanism. I have a working mechanism out of an LS-2. Any way that this would work? I suppose it's not plug and play but what mods would need to be made? I'm thinking there might be a problem due to the LPC working at 33 and auto speeding to 45 but it's just a guess.

It could be done ,--BUT---The selection systems are different, ALL plugs on the units are different--the mechs are "configured differently" to fit into the cabinets. The "selection now playing" lights are "different". Speed would not really enter into it, if all you wanted to play were 45's.
In other words, --unless some fool with WAY too much money offered to pay me as much as wanted to do it, I would not even consider doing it. ( P.S.--I rather sell that person a bridge ! ) Ron Rich
