Just picked up a Sears Silvertone Tru-Phonic Phonograph from a flea market. Was wondering if anyone could help me identify what year-model this was. From all the images I can find on the web of the freestanding models, they had two front doors and the tone arm was center mounted. We have one door, and a left mounted tone arm. I have attached images of the exterior as well as the top. I do have more if you need to see them. (motor, serial numbers, etc...)

Thanks,

Lee

I will do a little looking in my Sears books for the period but not sure I have anything on it. What I do see is that it is designed to still play other types of records such as Pathe as your photo shows the reproducer playing a standard record with it set the wrong way. Your arm has adjustments to make that reproducer sit 45 degrees from where you have it. The widest part of the reproducer should be more or less in line with the groove not sitting cross ways to them.
