Seeburg Mechanism (turntable) Flywheel Removal & Blue Buttons

OK, Back to the Seeburg V. I've had a number of Seeburgs through the years and all the turntables had decent chrome. Our "V" has just plain ugly for the turntable. It would be nice to have it re-plated. I have not found a procedure for removing the turntable. Big complex Job? If so, well, maybe it ain't all that ugly.

I have several parts mechanisms that are in the "C" era and a 160 select from something. I don't suppose there is a chance they might interchange with a "V" turntable. I didn't find a matching part number.

This "V" has blue selection buttons. I cannot think of a 200 select machine that had blue buttons. Must have been some model. I kind of like the blue.

This poor machine has been replated nicely even most of the cadmium plated parts are either NOS or replated. But the fasteners, are a mess. Screws intermixed Phillips and slotted. Too long, add some big random lock washers on top of each other. Little too short, ah at least two threads catch, it'll work. Ain't gotta machine screw? Use one of those sheetmetal ones, they fit almost everything . Ya don't really need that star washer or any lock washer, it'll stay in. If it needs 3 screws just use two, that'll work. Seems a lot of machines I've had shared this in some degree but this is the absolute worst. I have a big can of Seeburg used fasteners so I am fortunate.

Yes--removing the turntable CAN be a PIA--
I think the "C" is the same as a "V"--but a part number check is the sure way to tell. As for re-plating a TT, be very careful that the plater does not un-balance it ! Blue buttons--I can't think of a 200 that used them either ?? Must be "aftermarket" buttons---
Wrong fasteners, REALLY, "T" me off, and besides, if used around glass tend to ruin glass ! Ron Rich
