Old 45 RPM record collection
This is a keeper. It lists the song and the label from each
Top Ten 45-rpm record for every month.
You can actually click on and play the song!

...well, it WAS awesome...

I just clicked on the link and got a 404 PAGE NOT FOUND error message. I called up the site's main page -- http://www.45rpmdb.com/ -- and spotted this at the bottom:

"All audio content has been removed by order of DMCA Copyright Infringement regulations"

It was fun while it lasted.

That was to be expected. I liked the fact that it gave you a visual of the actual 45rpm record.

This isn't a bad site, but nowhere near as good.

Something strange here--I posted that almost a year ago--still there two days ago--now gone ??
Perhaps it's only "temporary" ?? Ron Rich :?:

I'm not too hopeful. The current owners (mega-corporations) that bought the rights to these 40-60 year old recordings are sitting on them pretty tightly, and will continue to do so as long as there's a penny to be made. In fact, I know of several YouTube "Victrola Videos" that have been removed, or the sound disabled, because a still-copyrighted record was played on the machine being demonstrated.

This site does a pretty good job of explaining the current situation -- http://www.publicdomainsherpa.com/publi ... dings.html

Hi Joe,
Thanks for that link !
This is exactly why I spend almost $500.00 each year, for a JLO certificate, for my 1949 Seeburg jukebox, located at my friends "Ristorante", which is loaded with 40's, 50's and 60's, 45 rpm records--- Made by people who are now, mostly all dead :( Ron Rich

Jeeze Ronnie!
Ya posted that neat-o link, and now ya took it back like some indian giver!
LOL!
Kidding.

These days, ya can't rely on websites to be around for a long time.
They come, they go....
Ya gotta GRAB what ya can off them while they're around.
You oughta see my schematics folder, and pile of CDrom disks.... 8)
