Ami mmcd 3

by jukeboxrobert » Fri Jun 17, 2016 7:24 pm

I need to program my mmcd 3 to be able to play full album. I have it set on freeplay. I have the manual, but can't find how to turn that part on.
When I select an album it comes up not allowed. I know there's a way, but I don't see it in programing section. Can anybody help?

Which model CCC is installed in your phono--which version main chip ?
If I recall right--that is in the option, (69?) section, or the more option (699?) section in the service manuals--

Ron,

CCC is # 40832220. If I'm looking at right part it's a 70042704. also it has C0100 CCC.

From what you have written--it appears as if you have the later type CCC ( someone may have covered an older version with a newer cover), however I do not know what you looked at for the chip version # ? -- The version number is readable on the display screen--see the programming section of your manual--which will also answer your first question. Early versions of the main chip were not programmable for album free play--This model should be, and it should show in both the "stand alone-programming guide" and service manual, that came with the phono--Ron Rich

Apparently it must have been changed to later version. As you suggested I went to #69 and then to the more options 2 and found where to turn it on. I'm sure I'll forget how I did it if I ever get another CD box, but for now it's playing albums for free.
Thanks Ron

Hi Robert,
Glad you "got-it" ! Lotta reading required for the CD boxes--but you gotta do it---even when running many of them, I needed to look that type stuff up--too bad some of the manuals are wrong !! Really got confusing then ! Ron Rich
