After chasing wires and checking the output from the amps and seeing that one channel was not sending out any volatage, when I moved the unit inside it must have been enough to finally break one of the .25a fuses in the main capacitor board. I checked for continuity and swapped around fuses and the problem follows. I will have to get a new fuse tomorrow and put and end to my one "dead" channel.
Got to say hooray for wiring diagrams and having the service manual.
Thanks
Curtis

Slick--
You expect to go through life stealing things--If you are unwilling to purchase a manual from a legit source, how can you expect to communicate with anyone who knows the terms used ? I know that I do not have any time to give you--Enjoy your bon-fire ! Ron Rich

You couldn't even be bothered to actually look up what the manual costs:
http://www.alwaysjukin.com/items/servic ... detail.htmIf you are going to own a complex electro-mechanical device such as this a manual is essential, especially if this is your first experience working on a particular make and series.

Slick,
Sorry you feel that way--no I own no part of any Service Manuals, nor do I profit from the sale (for a LOT less) of anything other then a very small amount, from the two Guides I have written. I also don't feel I know it all----I learn new things day by day. I am also a very slow, and poor typer, therefore I do not have all day to explain what is easy to see , in the Service Manual. Have a nice day--Ron Rich

Since it was brought up... Do ANY of the "suppliers" have legit permission to make the manuals? Or are they just stealing the stuff themselves? You can't make a copy of a copyrighted manual and claim copyright on the stolen material. Which is what many (all) are doing. Perhaps it is public domain now? If so, you can't claim copy on that either.

Hi Eddie,
As far as I know, one person purchased rights to re-pro Seeburg stuff. That person sold the rights to Victory glass--
Don't know the current status, but do know that VG and AJ at least attempt to make the manuals accurately---

For those interested in the issue of copyright, here is a brief outline of this complex issue:
http://www.publicdomainsherpa.com/copyr ... ation.htmlhttp://www.publicdomainsherpa.com/copyright-symbol.htmlSince none of the 1950's-60's data that i have shows the requisite © it can be assumed to have been unreserved from the date of publication. Not really surprising considering the esoteric nature of it.
As it appears, AMR and other can freely publish reprints of these manuals but can only claim rights to new material they might add (annotations, translation, etc) NOT the original text.
The internet is rapidly making such matters moot and in the case of oddball interests such as ours, this is essential for its future. The reason is that once companies no longer see a large enough market for these reprints, only used originals, reprints and scanned files will be available.

I'm not sure, I will have to research a little. But I don't think you can just grab something that was never copyrighted or out of public domain and call it yours and copyright it. I think we should build a library on this site of schematic, manuals etc., that are not copyrighted or are in public domain. The radio collecting/restoration community has did it for decades.

Hello, just aquire a 464 that needs some work. I haven't aquire the service manual yet. The sub woofers on bottom are missing and need to know the amp specs to make sure I get the right ones and don't fry the amp. Does anyone happen to have that info by chance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would strongly urge you to read the above, posted, "announcements/stickies", in this topic. Contact one or more of the legitimate parts re-sellers listed and purchase OEM used speakers--Ron Rich
