I have the Rockola 448 and mine only has one speed...45 RPM? Is there a chance the 448 has 2 speeds I do not know. But I do not see but 1 speed on mine. I had mine since 1983 and never had a speed problem.

On my 468 there is a little sticker on the turntable which gives the part number required for it to be converted to play 33rpm records, so I guess many Rock-Olas models were made which could play both.

Guys,
The "speed change" function on RO's, unlike all other companies, was strictly mechanical. This was accomplished via a different turntable hub, and some linkage under the turntable, that 'shifted" the idler wheel. It was optional, at least on some models. You can ID the "optional" turntable by the red plastic hub ("fingers") in the center. If the hub is black, it is not able to shift. The operation of this is explained in most Service Manuals--- Ron Rich
