Rock Ola 452 Console / rock-ola juke box.model#474 Compatibility?

How stupid is this idea? Is it even logical?
My idea was to get ahold of both of these on the cheap and somehow make a working machine from the two. I hate the mortuary jukebox design of the console, but this is the one that actually plays. The 474 lights up, but does not play even though I like how it looks. I know I'm shallow

Experts and everyone who knows more than me about this (everybody) Is this advisable? Please weigh in... Both machines listed below...
Regards,
-Joe

Joe, when I was buying machines I discounted any claims of "it works" --especially from home owners (rec-room market). Most of them don't know anything about these machines and even those that do are often just interested in getting it out the door.
- The one that "works" may, and probably does have, several things wrong with it.
- The one you really like may not all that much more work than the above machine.
- Check to see that the one you want is (mostly) intact. R-O components from the 70's and 80's are not very expensive if you need them.
Pick the one you like and save your money for restoring it right.

Thank you Rob. All this advise keeps me from buying a mistake, but I'm getting no closer to finding a solution unless 474 will work with 478

Rob,
Good advise...reaffirmed what I already felt. But are two of these compatible? Rock Ola 474 / Rock Ola 478 / and the console model?

Hi
The credit units i am nearly sure are different for the rockola 474 and 478 both electronic units but slightly different, the amps and power supplies are the same. The rockola 452 credit unit is not compatible with either and has a different power supply and amp, Gripper assemblies, record baskets, turntable and motors are same for all assuming they are all 160 selections.
The 452 is more electro mechanical based whereas the other two are electronic,
Could you transplant a 452 into one of these? i suppose it is possible the keyboard would be the most difficult piece to integrate
