Seeburg V Mech Cover Screws

by juke46 » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:51 pm

Ready to think about putting the mechanism cover on the Seeburg V. The original was completely destroyed so I now have a reproduction. I was able to save the original emblem. I do not have the four fasteners that secure the emblem to the cover. I just wondered if there was anything special about them otherwise it will be some polished brass screws. I could not find a close up picture to help me on the internet. Thanks - David Geritol Ghetto

Hi David,
My re-collector says that the medalion was held on with a "fancy" carriage bolt. It seems that a flat washer was on the inside, then a sems (or keps) nut, hand tightened, and glued with red glypt----Ron Rich

Thanks Ron! I'll come up with something the "Big Boss" (Anna ) will like. Time to mount that big dome glass onto the cabinet. Darn things have gotten a lot heavier the last few years. Anna and I used to could do that fairly easily not so much anymore. This time I made some 6-32 guide pins to help. Thank You for your help on so many things!
