Seeburg Electra question

I'm working on a Seeburg PFEAIU Electra. The mech was stuck in the play position. Removing, dissasembling and lubricating the clutch and lubricating the mech
seems to have sloved that problem as it now scans and is picking up some selections. Now that it is scanning I noticed that the bottom row of the "selection playing" is lit both directions,
instead of the bottom row one direction and the top row the other. I'm new to these later Seeburgs and was wondering what switches between the two rows of selection lights? I also noticed that
the rear contact pin on the contact block is short (worn?) and not touching the tormat. Can I use a pin or contact block from an AQ or AY? Is there a free play button on this so I don't have to keep
inserting coins? Any help would be appreciated. BTW this is a great sounding jukebox :)

Hey Juker,
Got service manual ?? Looking at the mech schematic will answer the first question--I do not re-call on that model--
Yep--contact block PIN is the same on both models, as well as the "free play" option. Ron Rich

Thank you Ron. I ordered a service manual but wanted to get a few things done before it arrives.

Juker,
You're welcome--
--going from my great, but not too long, memory, the lamps are wired thru the reversing switch on that model--I think. If not, I know later models, and perhaps that one, have a switch on the side of the tone arm cradle assembly for selection now playing, lamp control--

Thank you again for the information Ron. A contact block that was from either a DS or AY fit right in and now it picks up all selections.
I'll fix the selection light issue when the manual arrives.
I was going to use this for music in my work shop but I've decided to rebuild and use a 200 selection library unit as it takes up less
valuable space.... plus it may be more reliable in the long run.

Hi Ron,
Yes I added them as they were soldered on the old contact block "inline" of each contact plunger. Did they come that way originally as they almost look to have been added on?
Are these only necessary on the later Seeburgs?

Starting with the SCC-1 equipped units, they were factory installed on that type of contact block. They were deleted, with the change to the white "Nylon" type blocks, as side shifting, was no longer done at the reversing switch. Ron Rich
