I'm restoring an Edison Amberola 75. What paint would replace the old japan black on the bedplate? That would look the same?

I have used black laquer with great results, its better than black spray paint. Several light coats are almost a perfect match.

Fwdsyuck,

You might try contacting APSCO, I think they have all the fixin's for black Japanning repair. I'm not sure, but give them a shout.
