Question about removal of CD gripper arm pin on a Rock-Ola CD-8 Bubbler

I have an issue with the cd gripper starting to pick up before it clamps to grab the cd off the reader. I believe it is sticky grease that needs to be cleaned. The pin is the first to be removed to disassemble the gripper. I don't want to damaged anything so I am wondering if the pin is hammered in or screwed in with an Allen wrench ?

Does the Service Manual have an "exploded view" of the mechanism?
If so, that would answer your question.

You need not remove anything to "cure" this problem ! Just oil the gripper section with 20 wt oil. After oiling place your finger, gently, on the far end of the gripper bow and hold it down --lightly-- as it picks up CD's. You may need to do this for quite a number of CD's, before the oil gets in between the two gears, but it will eventually free itself. Once it's free, re-oil it and play at least 100 different CD's--then re-oil it again, and again in a month or so---Do NOT use anything else --NO "grease"--
