Need assistance with Seeburg wall box and Ipod. Have the CD adapter etc. All hookups correct, but no songs will play when buttons on box pushed? Have set up the WB3S playlist. It is a Nano 7

Thanks

Charles

Hi Charles,
Need more info--what, "Seeburg 100", do you have, and what "music won't play" --the jukebox, or the added ??

Cherles, the instructions (online) do not list a nano 7 in the compatibility list. You'll need to call them CDAdaper about this.

There is no tally light on this convertor to indicate wallbox pulses and the company will probably ask that you ascertain whether the wallbox is sending pulses.

Here is a reprint of simple tests that may help:

On the 200's A-1 is 2 pulse+1 and V0 is 21+10 All are 'short" (1/25th second pulses) the + is the transfer interval.

On the 100's:

A1 is one short, one long, +1
B1 is 12 short+1
C1 is 1 short 1 long +2
D1 is 12 short+2

All pulses after the interval (+) are short.

I've reprinted some earlier wallbox hints that might help here:

The first step is to determine whether the wallbox or convertor is at-fault.

Testing the wallbox is easy. Disconnect it from the machine. Connect your ohmmeter from the chassis ground screw and the -blue- signal screw. Then, with no buttons pressed, turn the wiper by hand and note that you see a low-no resistance connection at each rivet on the wafer as the arm passes over it.
Ideally there should not be more than a few ohms measured at any rivet.

You can also do this test by connecting a 28 volt bulb between the 25 volt AC source (red screw) and the signal line (Blue screw). When the box is sending, it will blink at each rivet. Disconnect the convertor during this test.

If you confirm that the box is sending pulses, then either the convertor is defective or not compatible with your ipod.
