I'm searching for a Philips GP 213 cartridge

Hi 8)

I'm searching for a Philips GP 213 cartridge for the Wurlitzer Lyric jukebox from 1973. I have searched the web, but were only able to find a replacement needle, and not a cartridge. The plastic on my original cartridge have cracked where the screws are supposed to go, and I desperately need a replacement

This is the cartridge I'm searching for: Image
Here are some technical informations about my jukebox: http://www.jukebox-world.de/Forum/Archiv/Dt.%20Wurlitzer/Lyric-1973.htm

Judging from that empty shell, just about any 2-screw generic ceramic cartridge would be a suitable replacement.
Considerations would be width, having round pins, tracking force, and of lesser concern, output.
Most ceramics are in the 3-500 MV range.

Can you recommend a suitable cartridge for my jukebox?

Jonas,
Someone might be able to answer you if you state what kind of (brand name), and model number, jukebox you have --??

Hi Jonas,
I am sorry--I missed the fact that you listed the make/model number in your first post--
You should read all of the "informational stickies" posted in the jukebox section. When you do, you will note that the (very nice) people (the Stadmanns) who have the site, that you referred to, also sell parts. I fell real confident, that if they don't have an "original" cartridge, they will stock a suitable replacement.

Indeed, Ron, their site lists the (famous) Pfanstiehl P-132D as a replacement, which should work fine.

Thanks for the head up, I will ask them right away! :D

I don't think the pins on the Pfanstiehl P-132D will make a suitable fit. The pins are too far from each other :(

Jonas,
In order to attach any other cartridge, you may need to change the "slip-on contacts" as most all companies did their own design in this area. You will need to solder the new contacts to the wire(s). Do NOT attempt to solder with the contacts on the new cartridge, or you will instantly ruin it ! The 132 uses "flat contacts"--be sure your supplier checks the package, to be sure the new pins are included.---and open the container very carefully, as they tend to "fall out, and get lost". If the Stadmanns don't have the right cartridge, I will try your suggestion 8)

Um, Ron.... Wait a minute here.
The Pfanstiehl P-132D cartridge does NOT have "flat contact" pins.
They're round/cyclindrical.
I install them all the time as common replacements.
