I need some help. I am in possession of a 1942 annivercary rca victrola. I cannot locate a site to find how much to sell this item for. It is a blonde edition. My aunt is in a nursing home and we are stuck with the house and it's contents. Finally had the assessment lowered to $48,000 from $83,200.

I might be interested in your item, but I need more info. Look it over carefully, front and back and see if you can find a Model No. I would want it for myself only if it has the type of record changer they called a "Magic Brain" of the type that could play a stack of 78s on both sides without turning them over. But I might also be able to help you market it at a fair price even if it turns out not to be what I'm looking for.

Is it a floor or table model ?

Is it a radio-phonograph combination ?

Does the radio and / or phono work ?

What's the condition of the cabinet ?

I also have one of these that I'm trying to sell but don't know the value. Mine is a dark mahogany in fair condition. All of the electronics work: phonograph, radio, short wave. Model # V-215.

Hi "Mosh",

I'm the guy who may have started this thread many months ago. I'd love to own it but I'm as perplexed as you as to what would be a fair price. As you know, so few were made that there's hardly a "market". Another practical issue is transport cost. I live in central Georgia. If you're within a thousand miles I might be able to put it inside my old Town Car or the Subaru Outback - or a U-Haul. Please send me the dimensions. Post a reply or phone me at 478 968 2203.

Many thanks. JWH
