Rob, thats good to hear, the more people who can enjoy vinyl the better! If it has an MM cartridge I guess it cant be too bad. I tend to avoid ceramics completely unless its vintage gear and an MM cart isnt practical. To my knowledge the Steepletones and Crossleys have poor arms and poor ceramic carts.
Even so I still feel the best and often the most affordable option is a late 70s technics deck with a high compliance MM cart. My main deck was given to me by my father and his Technics SL-D2 from 1978. I have an Ortofon 2M blue in it and it performs wonderfully. Rock solid direct drive motor, well constructed and a nice arm too.
These can be had for often £20 or less on eBay, and the Technics 270c carts in them are very serviceable with a new stylus. I guess you'd need a preamp but unless you're an "AudioPhool" you dont need to spend a fortune on that either

I'm still on average priced vintage stuff.
it's an early 19709s Philips 308 deck with a Shure M75EJ cartridge.
No problems when I dumped my u/s Philips 790 tuner/amp for a Leak 2000.
An interesting point was that the 790 had one of the earliest "touch" channel change systems. It made a bit of a "thump" as you switched them.

I think that must be a genuine mistake in the listing. He's had over 1,500 transactions and 100% feed back.
You can get slow-blow fuses from Maplins, about three quid for ten.
I noticed another "duke box" in the write-up of a machine yesterday.

I know people have got to make a living. But this is well overpriced and I can't understand how they could expect anyone to believe it's "fully restored" given these photos. "Serviced and good overall condition" perhaps would have been more accurate. But then you couldn't ask that price, could you?

Actually, I think maybe it just means that it has one and it isn't just an empty box?

It looks like there's a sticker over the coin slot that indicates that this jukebox has failed an electrical safety check. Yet the vendor describes it as "in full working order!"
