RCA 45 EY 2 Record Player Questions

I recently acquired an RCA 45 EY 2 player. I have not got a manual as of yet, but thought someone might help me with a few
questions. My player arm goes to the middle of the record. Is there a screw on the arm or somewhere else for adjusting where the arm lands?
I have loud static coming through the speaker which gets louder if I touch the wires where they connect to the cartridge.
When I play a record I get little or no volume. Is there anything I can try doing to get this to work correctly? I'm assuming it is the cartridge or the needle? Is there any way I can test these? Where can I get a replacement needle or cartridge for this machine? Thanks for any suggestions in advance. Dana

That player is going to need a complete going-over... trust me.
The changer mech will need re-lubricating, the rubber drives and motor mounts will need replacing, and the cartridge is shot.
In addition, the amp chassis will need recapping, possibly new wiring.
Every one I've restored needed this work done.

Once it's worked on by someone qualified, it'll rock the house.
They're worth BUCKS in good, overhauled condition.

I don't know how qualified you are, as I'm an experienced technician, but it would be a shame to mess that 45 player up by fooling with it the wrong way, or cutting corners.

There are several resources on the internet that will do service on it, why not look them up?
Good luck with your new find.
