LATE ISSUE 78RPM RECORD WANTS

by markoe1 » Fri Oct 02, 2009 3:50 am

Hello!

I am looking for the following records only on 78rpm. I would prefer condition VG+ to E; but would consider any condition.

The records are:
“WHEN ROCK AND ROLL COME TO TRINIDAD” BY NAT “KING” COLE
“BLAME IT ON THE BOSSA NOVA” BY EYDIE GORME
“WALK RIGHT BACK” BY THE EVERLY BROTHERS
“SEA CRUISE” BY FRANKIE FORD
“BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO” BY NEIL SEDAKA
“GOOD LUCK CHARM” BY ELVIS PRESLEY
“HIT THE ROAD JACK” BY RAY CHARLES.
“AINT THAT A KICK IN THE HEAD” BY DEAN MARTIN
45RPM OR 78RPM OF “NOTHING EVER CHANGES MY LOVE FOR YOU” BY DINAH WASHINGTON
ANY 78RPM BY PATSY CLINE
“CHRISTMAS DRAGNET” BY STAN FREBERG
”GREEN CHRISTMAS” STAN FREBERG

I collect mainly top 40 HIT songs from the late 1950’s through the mid 1960’s.

If you have anything else that I might be interested in—feel free to e-mail me.

I can pay cash, money order, PayPal…

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Respectfully,
Mark Roberts

Sea Cruise (1958) is the only one of those records that can be found on a 78 RPM record. The other titles you're looking for were all released in the early 60's and can only be found on 45 RPM singles, at least in the US. They may have been pressed on 78's in other countries such as India, where 78's were still being pressed as recently as the 70's.

Thank you for your response.

Approximately 90% of my 78 rpm collection are foreign pressings.

I am not asking for or expecting U.S. pressings. I don't care what label from what country they are on--as long as they are on 78.

UK and German pressings are the best, but I have seen a South African pressing of Sea Cruise that was of very high quality.
