Just bought a used RCA Campobello stereo cabinet with a Mark I Studimatic Changer. The Changer needs a new stylus/needle - we have a case with the cabinet which states the needle is a Replacement for RCA 115911, 115328, and 115329. If anyone has these old needles, please let me know. I my need to replace the whole arm - the record speed changer on the arm which is referred to in the owner's guide seems to be missing. But, the radio sounds great and I'm dieing to spin some albums on this old stereo. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

That speed selector is part of the stylus assembly.

The gadget on the front of the tone arm doesn't really change the unit's playing speed. It's known as a flip-over phono cartridge, and should be removable from the arm itself. It has a 78-rpm needle (about .003") on one side and a 33/45-rpm needle (about .001") on the other. Not easy to get to, but see if there are a couple of small mounting screws under there. You'll have to buy the whole cartridge if you can find one, but it will come with 2 new needles.

I'm not sure Radio Shack is doing those things any more, but you might try a Web search with "RCA Phono Cartridge" ahead of the numbers in UR post and see what comes up.

A couple places that have good (NOS--New Old Stock) replacement cartridges are Garage-a-Records (http://www.garage-a-records.com) and Ed Saunders (http://www.edsaunders.com). You could also do a search on ebay with those numbers.

The RCA cartridge has a forked stylus assembly. The LP/78 lever is part of the stylus, not the cartridge.
