Rock ola 481 display problem

by andrese61 » Thu Apr 23, 2015 12:53 am

rock ola 481, "your selection" display shows selection 100 and led "record playing" is on. even in standby mode, but jukebox working, plays all selections correctly, When playing record then display must show selected record number ,but it shows 100. Only when making selection then shows correct number and after 3.th digit and few seconds shows again 100. Maybe someone knows, problematic logic board or profit setter, both boards do their selftest correctly
Thank You.

Hi
It might be the -9.6 volts on the power supply sometimes rockolas of this type do weird things when its not reading exactly that , there's an adjustment procedure listed in the manual, i think its measured from the pink wire to chassis(ground) can't remember the pot you use to adjust

thank You.
Yes, was a bit more 9,72v but now 9,6 v. no difference . This is my first jukebox . When I bought it , its logic board not working, I replaced the logic board and after that this little problem. Logic board seller said that it might be a profit board problem, I think it is logic board problem ,because profit board did not hold any selections in memory, profit board send all selections to logic board processor and logic board sends "now playing selections" back to profit board selections display, but who knows, I think I must find MM5799nax/N (I read, that they must be programmed for jukebokses) and change it. Then I can argue with logic board seller if the problem disappears.

Hi
More than likely a logic board problem, if you manage to source any of those IC's let me know as I could do with a few of them
