Magnavox stereo console

Good Morning!
... I just acquired a Magnavox stereo console last week at an estate sale giveaway. I'm trying to ascertain the year this product was introduced. The model number is 1ST 228 K and the serial number is 0928952. It's got tubes! I'd really appreciate any specs you find, such as the speaker size and anything else that you think is relevant. I tried contacting Magnavox which was a total waste of time!
I've looked all over the web to see if I could spot something similar but so far no luck. On this unit the radio is located far left and the turntable far right. The turntable reads "Magnavox { logo } Custom" and below that in very small letters it reads "Made in England"
I sure appreciate any information you can provide.
