Wurlitzer Model Designations

I have what I believe to be a Wurlitzer 1982 Diana jukebox. The German service manual for 1982 lists a Niagara model which has the physical appearance of the Diana. Are these jukeboxes identical? I have been unable to locate any specific model, serial number, or much of any manufacturer's identification on the machine in hand. I have had great difficulty locally attempting to find any reliable, knowledgeable service or technical help. I am going to go through the flow chart for the Niagara and try to determine the cause of the lack of function of the machine. Presently, the machine has power to the unit but nothing happens when an attempt is made to select any 45 record for play. The local self appointed "expert" thinks that the problem is in the selection and credit computer and "there are no parts available." I am sure that there are resources available. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks, GM

Hello GM,

I would go onto the www.jukebox-world.de site and have a look in their archive section to look for the model of jukebox you have. They also have a forum on there with quite a lot of Wurlizter posts.

Thanks, there is very little information available for the German built Wurlitzers, even on that site. There are no serial numbers listed for the "Niagara" and no mention of a "Diana" model. Strange enough, there are no model or serial number plates on the machine that I have found as yet. I am going to make a serious search at my first opportunity. So far my best information has come from John's Jukes in Vancouver, BC.
