Truetone D1173 needle

by WB2HTO » Mon Dec 26, 2011 5:15 am

Forgive the pun, but I hope this isn't looking for a needle in a haystack (sorry)

Recently restored the chassis, radio works fine. Not getting any audio from the phonograph (still tracing but so far circuit seems fine from needle to the pre-amp section.) This is my only needle for this rig. Here's a picture: http://www.bambinomusical.com/D1173needle.jpg

Can you help?

Has the cartridge itself been replaced/rebuilt?
If not, it's defective due to age, and needs attention.
Gary Stork at his Voice of Music website might have replacement cartridges for it.

www.thevoiceofmusic.com
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
