Does anyone know where there is an Admiral model 5M36D hi-fi phono for sale? This is the "chairside" model dating from the mid-50's that is a phono only (no radio in the cabinet.) I believe it was offered in two finishes: mahogany and a lighter wood. It can be identified by the number 5M36D on the bottom of the cabinet or the words "High Fidelity 88" written on the brass-colored plate that contains the control knobs. It should have a flocked turntable (felt-covered metal, not rubber or plastic.)

I'm looking for one that is in nice condition, but the components don't have to be in perfect working order. If anyone knows where one of these can be found, please let me know. Thanks.

I think I have what you are looking for. I don't know how to post pictures here so let me know the best way to get them to you. We were cleaning out my grandmother's house today and came across pretty much what you have described. It looks very nice but the operating condition is unknown.
