Rowe Ami 100-E Problem

by Megaguns » Sun Aug 26, 2012 6:38 am

Hi Everyone

I have just purchased a Rowe Ami 100E jukebox,

Whenever the power is turned on the thing seems to be stuck in initialize mode, It just keeps checking for cds, When i put a cd in it the thing still wont recognize it, ive tried to cancel it but it just goes on and on... Anyone can help?

Thanks - Ian

Hi Ian,
Do you have the service manual--if so, try re-booting the CCC. If that won't "do it", I assume that the CCC is at fault--from what you say---

IMHO you have big problems... you need a pro to fix it.

Hi guys

Thanks for the input, For some reason im thinking the problem is with the player itself.

The board error light is lit up on the cd player but not on the ccc,

I have the Field service manual and parts catalog but can't seem to find the reboot ccc info.

I was thinking about buying the hard drive converter and using that instead, but the outlay would be expensive to find that the cd player isn't the problem, I bought on for my Pioneer CJv51 juke because the players were dead and it works a treat.

Might be the MCC--I don't recall a player ever causing something like this--
Try the re-bot--
Power OFF--service ON--Hold "0" and "1" down on key board, turn power on--hold both down till after display reads "loading defaults". Will then display 14-01 error--clear it, and see if the phono now works--

Hi Jukejohn

The numbers are 40832220 for the ccc and 61086201 for the mcc.

I took both computers to a tech today and told him the problems i was having, He seems to think the problem is with the mcc or the player itself as the player will load cds but will not read them.

He wasn't really helpful as he didn't even look at the boards, just went off of what i told him it was doing and he suggested going down the mp3 hard drive path as a player can be expensive with no guarantees...
