Hi, you can get virtually any manual online, If you know nothing about jukeboxes then it is a good idea to get someone to look at it for you as long as he is reliable and honest, otherwise it may cost you more than it should. it is of course always best to try and maintain the jukebox yourself if you intend to keep it, So when you get your manual reed it 20 times. it will tell you what you need to know to as far as what does what. as for repairs to selection system amp etc if you are not electrically minded is best left to an engineer.

It is my first time entering the jukebox scene. so its really new to me. i am thinking of checking out how much functional it is after i have bought it-

Hi, well my advice is to see how functional it is before you buy it. Depending on how much you are going to pay for it. I sold a Rock-ola 443 last year fully working with records for £875. though they can fetch more. For one that just lights up MAX of £200. Depending on condition of cabinet etc. Repairs are not cheap if you have to pay an engineer. If it was working last time it was used then could be a simple fix, but to do a simple fix you still need the manual if you new to jukeboxes.

that i was wondering about to, of takeing a test record along with me to see how well it is acting that would be best to do, right? i saw pictures of its cabinet, it looked to be in mint condition on the outside, a single scruf mark on the wood, thats noting to worry on, the owner said it was empty for records, so thats a good thing, i have plenty to fill up that machine.

A "caution" about "online manuals"--MOST are poor copies of copied manuals, missing pages, and missing schematics. IMHO one should purchase a whole Service Manual SET, from one of the vendors listed above. Also, IMHO, it might be advisable to have a knowledgeable "pro" ( "engineer", in the UK, "technician", or, "tech., in the USA), look over any product, prior to purchase. A "clean cabinet" does NOT make a good machine ! It's just a good start -- My 7 year old grandson, can clean one as well as anyone else, however, that won't make it work right. Ron Rich

I am going to be carefull with the jukebox, trust me, and ive looked at this guy here in denmark he can rebuild slot machines to it sems.

Slot machines are a whole different animal.
Slot machines do not have "amplifiers" in them like Jukes do, nor do they have the mechanicals to play records.
So the important part of the matter here is knowing the details of such amplified products, and the experience to properly service them.

I have heard so many people attempting to "impress me" with their knowledge of unrelated electronics servicing, (computers, etc) yet they don't know a darn thing when I ask them about things that my field is about.
Such as:
"Can you do a bias adjustment for output tubes?
"Do you understand the workings of the phase inverter, and how to check for proper balance/minimum distortion?

Oh, but they just impressed me with how they can change out a plug-in board in a computer.

the guy i mentioned can do jukebox repairs like the 443 im getting, he restored another one at somepoint.

does the light run on a alone power supply or off the jukebox power supply?

If your mains voltage is 220 to 230 and the machine is an import from USA at 110 volt, it is likely that when you plug it in, the lighting circuit will be separate and run directly from the mains supply and then fitted inside a transformer to step down voltage from 220 to 110 to operate the jukebox power supply which can be switched on from the back of the machine

Hi, if your jukebox is 110-120 volt then everything runs from the power supply, the transformer should be mounted at the eight hand side when you lift the lid.

That is true of all "jukeboxes"--it's called "overplay", and "loved" by jukebox operators !

Alright, the jukebox is here and ive opend it up and i saw there was a lose ground wire, is there a screw it has to sit on? and is it true i need to let it condition til next day? it has 220 and 240 volts on it, do i leave it on the 240 setting?

There are a lot of wires, and a lot of screws in that phono--can't determine what you see from here--
As for "conditioning'--if it was frozen, I would allow it to warm up first--as for the voltage setting--set it at what your power company provides.
